In the Build menu, go to the Walls and Partitions tab.
You have three types of walls at your disposal:
- Walls, with a default thickness of 30 cm, are used to represent load-bearing walls.
- Partitions, with a default thickness of 7 cm, are used to represent thinner walls.
- Invisible partitions are used to close an open room or create a sub-space within an existing room.
Step-by-Step to Draw a Wall or Partition
To create a wall or partition, enter the Build menu:
- 1/ Step 1: Set its thickness.
We recommend setting the thickness of the wall or partition before starting its drawing.
We offer 30 cm as the default value for walls and 7 cm for partitions, but these values are customizable. To do this, click on the numeric box in the lower right corner of the wall or partition icon, enter the desired value in centimeters, and then confirm. All walls or partitions you draw will have this thickness, but they can still be configured individually.
- 2/ Step 2: Click on the Wall or Partition icon,
A cursor in the shape of "+" will appear in the drawing area to the right of the menu. (You can only draw in 2D; you will be automatically directed to this view).
- 3/ Step 3: Place the first point,
The beginning of the wall or partition is created. Be sure to stay within the grid (workspace).
- 4/ Step 4: Indicate a direction using your mouse.
Guides are available to help you draw vertical and horizontal walls or partitions.
- 5/ Step 5: Place the next point by clicking a second time.
You can draw multiple walls or partitions in succession.
- 6/ Step 6: Confirm the drawing
To exit wall or partition editing mode:
- press the ESCAPE key
- or double-click after placing your last point
- or right-click after placing your last point.
Tips for Drawing Walls or Partitions

# Partition connection tip: Make sure to properly connect your partitions and walls to create closed rooms and see your house's structure.
# "Room naming" tip: When closing a room, we recommend that you name it. The text "Room" displayed in orange will change to green with the selected room type.

# Roofing tip: A wall (or partition) must have a minimum thickness of 15 cm to support a roof in our tool.
# Rounded partitions are not available in the tool. You can find workarounds here.
# Wall composition (structure, insulation) cannot be represented in Kazaplan.
Customization of Drawn Walls or Partitions
The walls or partitions you have drawn are customizable: you can - configure their thickness,
- configure their height.
- configure their length.
- m ove: by selecting them and dragging them in 2D with the mouse or numerically.
- cut into multiple sections.
