Do you want to add a floor to your plan in Kazaplan? Follow these steps to create and configure your new floor:
Step 1: Add a Floor
- When you create your plan, you automatically start on the ground floor by default.
- To add a floor, click on the "Manage/Add Levels" icon in the Kazaplan toolbar.
- Then, click on "Add a Floor".
Note:
This feature is also accessible from the floor settings window.
The new level settings window will then be displayed. You can proceed to step 2 to configure the new floor.
Step 2: Configure Your New Floor
You can now configure your new floor according to your needs:
1. First, you can choose the nature of your future floor:
- A full floor, adding full-height walls (enabled by default)
- Or an attic floor, adding a roof.
2. In the case of a full floor, you can choose the position of your floor:
- Below the ground floor
- Above your last floor (enabled by default)
3. When creating your level, you can duplicate elements from the nearest level:
- Facade walls: this duplicates the same shape of the house as the current level.
- Doors, windows, and openings: this duplicates the joinery of the facade walls of the current level.
Thanks to advanced duplication, other elements can be retained:
- Invisible separations.
- Interior walls (and their openings).
- Stairs and hoppers.
- Furniture and objects.
- Garden, terrace, and alley boundaries.
4. Then set the heights of your level:
- Ceiling height.
- Slab height: the thickness of the lower slab of your level.
Thanks to the advanced settings, the reference level of the future floor can be defined.
