How to model a roof?

In our tool, a flat roof is applied on closed rooms.

Open the menu "Build" > "Roof and attic" > "Flat roof",

1. Choose the area to cover

2. Configure your roof

3. Create the flat roof

In our tool, a pitched roof is applied on closed rooms with walls at least 15cm thick.

Open the menu "Build" > "Roof and attic" > "Pitched roof",

1. Choose the area to cover

2. Choose the option with or without attic space

3. Stretch the slopes of your roof: you can define

- The roof slope

- The base height...

4. Adjust your roof overhangs.

Follow the same steps as for modeling a pitched roof.

When stretching your roof slopes, you can disable the symmetry.

- To modify a flat roof,
1. Switch to 2D view on the floor where it was created
2. Select the "flat roof" room

3. Open its settings with the gear icon

- To modify a pitched roof,
1. Switch to 2D view on the floor where it was created
2. Select a roof line

3. Click the "edit" button represented by a pencil to enter "roof mode".

The roof menu will open on the "slopes" tab.

You can switch to 3D view during your roof modifications.
