Do you want to create a 3D plan using geolocation as the starting point? This tutorial will guide you on how to import your walls from an address and start building your project easily.
Note: Find this page by creating a new plan
> Tutorial: How to create a new plan?
Step 1: Choose to start a global plan from an address
1. Choose the global mode: Click on "Create a plan" in the main menu from a global plan
2. Choose the starting type: Select "From my address".
Step 2: Import geolocation
1. In the modal, enter the desired address.
2. Click on your house to select it. It should now appear darker. Click "Validate".
Tip: click on the cross in the area to delete it. To make it reappear, simply re-enter the address and search for it to make it reappear.
- Select one or more areas (CTRL or COMMAND) then click "Import".
- Move the pointer or type another address to select another one.
- Adjust the offsets between the cadastre and Google Map by drag and drop.
- Note that some cadastral areas may be missing due to the version of the data used.
3. Validate. Your plan then opens: Your exterior walls already appear drawn on the imported map plan.
Now it's your turn to draw the interior load-bearing walls and partitions!
Step 3: Manage Geolocation Display
To adjust the map display:
- Click on the eye, "Manage 2D elements display", in the menu bar.
- Select or deselect "Geolocation plan" in the Environment tab.
Add geolocation to an existing plan
- Click on the geolocation icon in the toolbar:
- Select "Position my project".
- Enter your address and validate.
Remove geolocation
- Click on the geolocation icon in the toolbar
- Click on the trash can to permanently delete the geolocation from your plan.
- Confirm your choice in the window
- Your geolocation will no longer appear.
To go further: Creating partitions or the boundaries of your land
Once the plan is open, you can customize it based on your measurements.
> For more information on editing measurements, see this tutorial.
You can now start drawing your home or land by accessing the "Build" menu.
- If you want to model your project's partitions, choose "Walls & Partitions".
- To model your land, select "Land & Garden".
Congratulations! You have now integrated geolocation into your plan on Kazaplan and can work accurately on your project.
