The elevation of an object is its distance from the ground.
Here are several methods to modify the elevation of an object or furniture.
Change an object's elevation using your MOUSE
Here’s how to move an object vertically in 3D,
1. Select the object by clicking on it. (a green highlight and a vertical move handle will appear)
2. Click on the vertical move handle.
3. Move your object up or down by holding the left mouse button.
Your object moves according to your movement.
Change an object's elevation numerically
In 2D as in 3D, you can edit your object's position measurements relative to the ground.
1. Select the object by clicking on it.
2. Open its settings panel, by clicking the "settings" button in the context menu, symbolized by a gear icon.

These values can be modified numerically.
- Modify the elevation value

To go further:
We have magnets that apply to objects:
- object collision
- and the alignment of objects with respect to each other.
To position objects relative to each other, magnets are here to assist you; they prevent the overlapping of objects.
You can activate/deactivate them as needed:
> Place an object on furniture
> Place an object under furniture
> Place an object in furniture
Tip: The "ALT" key on PC (or "COMMAND" on MAC) allows you to temporarily activate/deactivate object collision.
