Have you just added an object or a piece of furniture to your plan?
You can move it as you wish; here are several methods:
Move an object using your MOUSE
Horizontal Movement
In 2D as well as in 3D,
you can use your mouse to move an object or a piece of furniture.
1. Select the object by clicking on it (a green highlight, a rotation circle and position dimensions appear).
2. Hold down the left click and drag the object with your cursor. Its position dimensions update in real-time during the movement.
3. Release the click to finalize the new position of the object.
The object is moved.
Tip:
- Once the object is selected, you can move it using the arrow keys on your keyboard.
- Also, know that the position measurements of objects are editable.
Movement in One Direction
In 3D, movement handles allow lateral or vertical movement.
1. Select the object by clicking on it. Movement handles appear.
2. Click on a handle
3. Drag it laterally or vertically using your cursor while holding the left click. Its position dimensions update during the movement.
When you release the click, the object is moved.
Move an object by editing its MEASUREMENTS

you can edit the position measurements of your object relative to walls or other objects.
1. Select the object by clicking on it.
2. Open its parameters panel, by clicking the "parameter" button symbolized by a gear in the context menu.
3. Open its "Position" panel
4. You can edit the following fields:
- Elevation, which allows you to change the height of the furniture or object relative to the ground.
- Position relative to walls, these fields inform you about its placement relative to the walls.
- Positions relative to objects, these fields inform you about its placement relative to the walls.
These values can be modified numerically:
- Choose whether you want to edit the values "front, back, right, left" relative to walls or objects.
- Edit the values
- Confirm by moving to the next field or by clicking elsewhere.
The object moves according to the entered values.
Move an object using KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS
In 2D as well as in 3D,
you can use keyboard shortcuts to move an object or piece of furniture. This can be particularly useful for moving them from one floor to another.
Shortcuts on PC:
Copy an item or object | CTRL + C |
Paste an item or object | CTRL + V |
Shortcuts on MAC:
Copy an item or object | COMMAND + C |

To go further
We have magnets that apply to objects:
- object collision, it prevents the nesting of objects into each other
- and alignment of objects with respect to each other.
You can enable/disable them as needed:
> Place an object on a piece of furniture
> Place an object under a piece of furniture
> Place an object inside a piece of furniture
> Detach an object from a wall
- Position an object relative to a wall
For objects glued to a wall, it may be useful to disable object collision in the toolbar. This allows you to detach the object from the wall.
Tip: The "ALT" key on PC (or "COMMAND" on MAC) allows you to temporarily enable/disable object collision.
