To add a spiral staircase, go to the menu and click on Build > Staircases > Spiral staircase.
You have two choices at your disposal:
- With riser
- Suspended: without riser
Choose your model and place it in your plan, click on it to position it.
When you click on your staircase, the following icons appear:
- Cartridge (only available in 3D): change the settings manually
- Duplicate: copy your spiral staircase
- Properties: change the settings by entering your measures
- Lock
- Delete
- Configure manually (height and width only)
Click the cartridge icon.
Drag the arrows to adjust the sizes (width and height) of your staircase. The dimensions are displayed as you drag the arrows.
- Fully customise your staircase (2D and 3D)
Click the Properties icon. A menu is displayed with the various settings available for you to edit.
Settings:
- Climb height: height of staircase
- Step width: size between the shaft and outside of step
- Tread: depth of step
- Elevation: space between floor and start of staircase
- Thickness of step
- Stair nosing: end of step, which can overhang step if a measurement is entered (only visible if there is a riser)
- Riser: enable or disable the riser
- Handrail: enable or disable handrail
- Shaft diameter: central post
Tip: You can view your changes without closing the menu. Move the menu by dragging/dropping the menu title to one side of the plan to show your project. When entering a measure, press Enter to apply the new measures automatically.
