Introduction to CUSTOMIZABLE SHAPES

Configurable shapes are geometric volumes fully customizable in dimensions and textures. You can also apply images to them. 

Is there an object missing from our product catalogs? Use configurable shapes.

Customize your plan according to your needs. With configurable shapes, you can:

- model custom shelves 

- create furniture not listed in our catalogs

- represent unique ceilings: false ceilings, vaulted ceilings, ...

- customize your openings: arched windows, muntins...

- model atypical roofs: domes, dormers...

- add personalized rugs and tapestries

- add your photos in frames, posters...

- model backsplashes

- represent fences, wire fences

- ... 

Add a Configurable Shape 

Go to the Arrange > Configurable Shapes menu to use these shapes.

Customize a Configurable Shape

- open the parameter panel

In 2D and in 3D:

1. Select the shape by clicking on it.

2. Open the shape's parameter panel by clicking on the gear icon in its contextual menu.

- modify dimensions 

In 2D and in 3D:

you can modify its dimensions numerically in the parameter panel.

Tip: In 3D, you can also use the extension arrows. 

- modify inclinations

In 2D and in 3D:

you can adjust the inclinations numerically in the shape's parameter panel.

- apply a texture or image

You can apply a texture or color from the decorating menu to these shapes. 

It is also possible to apply a custom texture.

Upload it from your computer in the "image" section.

This texture can be "tiled" or not. 

Tip: Applied images can be transparent, ideal for modeling a fence or a safety net.
