Have you modeled the walls of your house? It's time to model the roof to get a complete overview of your project.
We offer flat roofs and sloped roofs.
Prerequisites
In our tool, a roof is placed on closed rooms.
The peripheral walls must have a minimum thickness of 15 cm.
Tips
We recommend modeling all your floors and then modeling your roof last.
Also, always start with the highest roof.
Step 1: Open the flat roof menu
- Position yourself on the level you want to cover.
- Open the menu "Build" > "Roof and Attic" > "Flat Roof",
The "flat roof" menu opens.
Step 2: Select the area to cover
By default, all coverable areas are selected.
You can deselect the rooms you do not want to cover one by one. Feel free to zoom in on small rooms.
Step 3: Configure your roof
You can configure:
- the height of the parapet (peripheral wall of your flat roof)
- the thickness of the parapet (peripheral wall of your flat roof)
- the thickness of the slab
Note: it is entirely possible to leave the default settings. They can be modified later.
Step 4: Create your roof
Confirm by clicking on the "Create the flat roof".
Your flat roof is created.
Switch to 3D view to see it.
It is modeled in a new "roof" level if you were on the highest level of your project.
It is modeled in the upper level if one existed (a flat roof on a garage located on the ground floor is modeled in the "first floor" level, for example)
