It is possible to model a housing net in a double-height space.
Step 1: Model a hopper
1. Model two floors.
2. Model a hopper in the intermediate slab.
To do this, go to Build > Stair > Straight or Spiral Stair > Hopper.
- Draw the boundaries of your hopper
- Edit them as needed.
Step 2: Add a parametric shape to the hopper
In 2D as well as 3D:
1. Go to Arrange > Parametric Shapes to use these shapes.
2. Select the "rug" shape and place it in the hopper to represent the net.
Step 3: Resize the net
1. Open the shape’s settings panel
- Select the shape by clicking on it.
- Open the settings panel by clicking the gear icon in the contextual menu.
2. Adjust the shape's dimensions to the desired size.
You can modify the dimensions numerically in the settings panel by editing the fields:
- height
- width
- depth
Tip: In 3D, you can also use the stretch handles.
Step 4: Apply a texture
1. Choose a texture that best resembles your net from the Decorate > Material > Metal menu.
2. Apply it to your net
Your housing net is now modeled.
