Principle
Do you want to draw an area on the floor or wall and apply a colour or texture to it?
Decorative zones will allow you to delimit an area without having to create a new room or split a wall.
The table of surfaces for your project will be more accurate, several zones but only one room.
How to use the zones?
Find this feature in the Decorate > Decorative zones tab.
You will enter a mode specifically reserved for the use of those zones.
Your plan will become slightly transparent to allow you to position the zone.
A basic shape catalogue allows you to choose a shape and position it wherever you want in your plan.
Once the zone is positioned, it is hatched in blue. It is active. It is bypassed by edges and segments.
Some areas need to be set up, others take on an automatic shape in relation to your room (height or width).
The "Frieze" zone will take up the entire width of your room.
The "Rectangle" zone will take up the entire height of your room.
The other zones do not depend on the configuration of your room.
In all cases, these shapes can be completely customised in their dimensions (except thickness: max 2 cm).
There are two ways to edit them:
- In the zone parameters, you can rework the overall dimensions of the zone.
- Directly in 3D, you can stretch the sides or points of the shape.
You can also create more sides or create new points by double-clicking at the desired location.
Then apply the desired coating via the texture catalogue.
Exit the "Decorative zones" mode (top right of the screen). The area is now inactive and is shown in grey hatching.
Your entire plan is visible in 100% opacity.
You can return to the "DECORATIVE ZONES" mode either by clicking on the 2D or 3D zone and then clicking on the small pencil to access the mode.
You can also open the zone catalogue in the "Decorate - Decorative zones" menu.
NB:
The use of personal images to fill in the decorative zones is under development.
The decorative areas are (for the moment) only for wall and floor.
