You have placed a cabinet set from the catalog: it can be moved within the plan like any other object.
There are several methods to move it in your room:
- mouse movement
- editing its position dimensions
- editing its position in the settings panel
- keyboard movement
Step by step to move an isolated cabinet set
Step 1: Select your cabinet set
In 2D, 3D, or front view: click on your cabinet set.
A green highlight will appear: your cabinet set is selected.
Its position dimensions are displayed. They are editable.
Its rotation circle appears if the set is not positioned against a wall.
Its movement arrows appear:
- horizontal movement arrow for all sets
- vertical movement arrow for wall cabinets
Its contextual menu appears with its price and various editing options:
- replace set with another
- access set properties
- duplicate set
- lock set
- delete set
- access front view
Step 2: Move your isolated cabinet set
Choose one of these 4 movement methods:
Solution 1: Mouse Movement
- In both 2D and 3D, to move a set, click, drag, and drop the selected set to the desired location.
Note: If you move a set from one wall to another with activated magnetism, it automatically flips if necessary.
- In front view: this mouse movement solution is not available.
Solution 2: Editing Position Dimensions
- In both 2D and 3D, click on a position dimension, an editing modal will open. You can enter the desired value.
NB: The display of these measurements is configurable in the toolbar:
- Manage display of 2D elements > Measurements > Object position
- Manage display of 3D elements > Measurements > Object position
- In front view, click on the pink position dimensions, they can be edited in the same way.
NB: The display of these measurements in front view is configurable in the toolbar:
- Manage display of elements in front view > Measurements
Solution 3: Editing Position in the SETTINGS PANEL
In both 2D and 3D and in front view,
[current settings panel]
[settings panel starting from January 2024]
- 1. Click on the "properties" icon in the set's contextual menu. The settings panel appears on the left side of your screen.
- 2. Then expand the "position" tab of your set .
The position menu appears. You can configure:
- The elevation of your set: this allows you to modify the height of the set relative to the floor. This option is especially useful for wall cabinets.
- The positions relative to the walls: they inform you about the positioning of your set relative to the walls (front, back, right or left). These values can be modified numerically.
- The positions relative to objects: they inform you about the positioning of your set relative to the nearest objects (front, back, right or left). These values can be modified numerically.
Solution 4: Movement Using the KEYBOARD
In both 2D and 3D, it is also possible to move a set using your keyboard: press the "arrow" keys on your keyboard repeatedly.
Tip: Keep the magnets activated.
We have 3 types of magnetism in Kazaplan:
- object collisions
- object alignment
- wall magnetism
They are activated by default, and can be activated from the toolbar:
Tip: To temporarily activate or deactivate the magnets, press the ALT key (FN key on a Mac).
> more information on magnetism settings
When placing a set against a wall, it automatically flips thanks to the magnets.
