The countertop settings panel appears.
Step 3: Create a countertop overhang
- Solution 1: Create a SMALL OVERHANG (depth <30cm)
Two solutions to create an overhang with a depth less than 30cm:
- Enter the desired values in the menu
- Or stretch your countertop in 3D view, using the stretch handles.
- Solution 2: Create a LARGE OVERHANG (depth>30cm)
For a larger depth stretch, you need to add a countertop from the catalog
- 1. Once selected in the countertop menu, place your countertop in the layout.
From the menu:
- ARRANGE
-- KITCHEN
--- PIECE BY PIECE
---- COUNTERTOP
- 2. You can adjust its dimension, by clicking on the "property" icon in its context menu:
- dimensions can be set numerically from the "dimensions" menu,
- or in 3D using the stretch handles that have appeared.
- 3. You can adjust its position:
- directly in the layout by moving it with your mouse
- by editing its position dimensions in 2D or 3D
- by clicking on the "property" icon in its context menu: dimensions can be set numerically from the "position
- 4. You can adjust its elevation:
- directly in the layout using the specific handle
- by clicking on the "property" icon in its context menu: elevation can be set numerically from the "position
- 5. Remember to add legs to support your countertop.
(Feature under development: for now, we recommend using parametric shapes from the ARRANGE menu. The ALT key can help you position them; it temporarily disables object collision magnetism)
