You have modeled a kitchen cabinet set: there are several methods to move it within your room:
- mouse movement
- editing its position dimensions
- editing its position in the settings panel
- keyboard movement
Step-by-step guide to move a kitchen cabinet set
Step 1: Select your cabinet set
In 2D, 3D, or frontal view: click on your cabinet set.
A blue highlight appears: your cabinet set is selected.
Its stretch handles are displayed, except in frontal view. They are represented by:
- blue circles in 2D
- and arrows in 3D.
Its position dimensions are displayed and editable.
Its context menu appears with its price, comfort level, and various editing options:
- access cabinet properties
- delete the cabinet set
- access frontal view
Step 2: Move your cabinet set
Choose one of these 4 movement methods:
Solution 1: Mouse movement
- In 2D and 3D, to move a cabinet set, click, drag, and drop the selected cabinet set to the desired location.
Note: if you move a cabinet set from one wall to another with activated magnetism, it automatically rotates if necessary.
- In frontal view: this solution is not available.
Solution 2: Edit its position dimensions
- In 2D and 3D, click on a position dimension, an editing modal opens. You can enter the requested value.
Note: The display of these measurements can be configured in the toolbar:
- Manage display of 2D elements > Measurements > Object position
- Manage display of 3D elements > Measurements > Object position
- In frontal view, click on the pink position dimensions, they are editable in the same way.
Note: The display of these measurements in frontal view can be configured in the toolbar:

Solution 3: Edit position in the SETTINGS PANEL
In 2D and 3D, as well as in frontal view,
[settings panel from January 2024]
- 1. Click on the "properties" icon in the cabinet set's context menu. The settings panel appears on the left side of your screen.
- 2. Then unfold the "position" tab of your cabinet set.
The position menu appears. You can configure:
- The elevation of your cabinet set: allows you to modify the height of the cabinet set from the ground. This option is especially useful for tall furniture.
- Positions relative to walls: informs you about the placement of your cabinet set in relation to walls. These values can be numerically modified.
- Positions relative to objects: informs you about the placement of your cabinet set in relation to the nearest objects. These values can be numerically modified.
Solution 4: Keyboard movement
In 2D and 3D, it is also possible to move a cabinet set using your keyboard: press the "arrow" keys on your keyboard repeatedly.
Tip: Keep magnetism activated.
We have 3 types of magnetism in Kazaplan:
- object collisions
- object alignment
- wall magnetism
They are activated by default and can be activated from the toolbar:
