You have modeled a kitchen cabinet set: you can now stretch it.
Stretching a kitchen cabinet set is the action of modifying its length or even its shape with a single click. It can be done in both 2D and 3D.
Step by step to stretch a kitchen cabinet set
Step 1: Select your kitchen cabinet set
In 2D, 3D, or front view: click on your kitchen cabinet set.
A blue highlight appears: your kitchen cabinet set is selected.
Its stretch handles are displayed (except in front view).
They are represented by:
- blue circles in 2D
- and arrows in 3D.
Depending on its configuration, a cabinet set may have 4 stretch handles:
- 2 lateral stretch handles
- 2 corner stretch handles.
Step 2: Stretch your kitchen cabinet set
With stretching, you can enlarge or reduce the length of your kitchen cabinet set.
- ENLARGE a cabinet set
In 2D as well as in 3D, a cabinet set can be stretched at any time to:
- enlarge its length with a simple stretch
- or enlarge its length and modify its shape with a corner stretch. This way, you can create L-shaped kitchens, U-shaped kitchens, and more.
- Select a stretch handle, perform a drag-and-drop in the desired direction using your mouse.
Your cabinet set enlarges with new cabinets, and we recalculate the optimal position of your equipment.
- REDUCE a cabinet set
In 2D as well as in 3D, a cabinet set can be stretched at any time to reduce its length with a stretch.
- Select a stretch handle, perform a drag-and-drop in the desired direction using your mouse.
Your cabinet set shrinks, and we recalculate the optimal position of your equipment.
Attention: Reducing the length of a cabinet set may result in the removal of some appliances if its new length is insufficient to accommodate them all. A notification will prompt you to remove your cabinet set to have all the desired equipment.
- Stretch a CABINET SET that has already been MODIFIED
If you have made a modification to your cabinet set (by moving, replacing, or locking a cabinet) and you want to stretch the cabinet set, we ask you to refine the desired action, you can:
-- Stretch by recalculating a new composition
In case of enlarging or reducing an already modified cabinet set, this option restarts a calculation and optimizes the positions of all elements. Your previous modifications may not be retained.
-- Enlarge by filling with new cabinets
In case of enlarging an already modified cabinet set, this option lengthens the cabinet set with storage cabinets without modifying the initial organization.
-- Reduce by removing cabinets
In case of reducing an already modified cabinet set, this option reduces the cabinet set by removing cabinets without modifying the initial organization.
