Would you like to define an area of your ceiling and customize it?
We recommend using a configurable shape from the Arrange menu.
Note:
It is not possible to use decorative areas on the ceiling.
Decorative areas allow you to define a section of a wall or floor.
Step 1: Define the area of your ceiling
In 2D or 3D:
1. Go to the Arrange > Configurable Shapes menu to use these shapes.
2. Choose the "horizontal plane" shape and place it in your plan.
Step 2: Resize the "horizontal plane"
1. Open the shape settings panel
- Select the shape by clicking on it.
- Open the settings panel by clicking the gear icon in the contextual menu.
2. Adjust the dimensions of the "horizontal plane" to the desired size
You can modify its dimensions numerically in the settings panel by editing the fields:
- height
- width
- depth
Tip: In 3D, you can also use the stretch handles.
Step 3: Position your "horizontal plane"
Method 1: You can move the shape in the plan as you would any object, using your mouse.
Method 2: You can move it numerically using the settings for:
- elevation
- position relative to walls
- position relative to objects
Step 4: Customize your ceiling area
You can apply a texture or custom image to this shape.
- Apply a texture
1. Choose a texture from the DECORATE menu.
2. Apply the texture to the ceiling area.
- Apply a custom image
1. Open the settings panel of the "frame"
- Select the shape by clicking on it.
- Open the settings panel by clicking the gear icon in the contextual menu.
2. Click on the "image" section in the settings panel; a download window will open.
3. Select your image. .jpg, .gif, and .png formats are accepted for a maximum size of 2500px and 1MB.
4. Confirm. The image is applied to your ceiling.
Your ceiling is now customized!
