Did you fall in love with a rug that isn’t in our catalog?
Use parametric shapes to personalize your decoration.
You can apply an image of this rug onto a parametric shape to represent it.
Step 1: Position the "rug" shape on your floor
In 2D and 3D:
1. Go to the Arrange > Parametric Shapes menu to access these shapes.
Tip: for a round rug, use the "horizontal circle" shape
2. Choose the "rug" shape and place it in your plan.
Step 2: Resize the "rug"
1. Open the parameters panel of the "rug"
- Select the shape by clicking on it.
- Open the parameters panel by clicking on the gear icon in the contextual menu.
2. Adjust the dimensions of the "rug" to the desired size
You can change its dimensions numerically in the parameters panel by editing the fields
- height
- width
- depth
Tip: In 3D, you can also use the stretch handles.
Step 3: Apply an image to your rug
1. Click on the "image" box in the parameters panel; a download window opens
2. Select your image. Accepted formats are .jpg, .gif, and .png, with a maximum size of 2500px and 1MB.
3. Confirm. The image is applied to your floor.
4. You can choose to repeat the image or not.
Step 4: Position your rug
- Adjust the position of the shape
Method 1: you can move the shape within the plan as you would any other object using your mouse
Method 2: you can move it numerically by using the following settings:
- elevation
- position relative to walls
- position relative to objects
- Rotate or tilt the shape
You can adjust the tilt numerically in the parameters panel of these shapes.
Tip: By holding the 'ALT' key, you can disable collision between objects, both in 2D and 3D. This can be useful for positioning a rug under a table or around other objects.
Your custom rug is now modeled.
