To move a piece of furniture in either 2D or 3D, click and drag the piece of furniture with your cursor. You can also click on this piece of furniture to select it (a green circle appears when a piece of furniture is selected) and use the arrows on your keyboard.
Note: Doors and windows can only be moved in 2D view.
For furniture placed against walls or side by side with other furniture, it is useful to Enable/disable magnetism in the toolbar. This icon allows you to 'stick' pieces of furniture to walls or one another. In some cases, such as placing chairs under a table, it may be useful to disable it.
Tip: If you want to disable magnetism briefly, hold down the Alt key.
Rotate a piece of furniture
Once you have placed a piece of furniture, you can rotate it using the green circle displayed when you select it. Click on the green circle and turn it around the piece of furniture, which will rotate.
If you click on 90°, the furniture will rotate 90°.
